Hi All,

Order received from ECC to ME through LOIPRO message. In ME application shop order with 6 SFCs were released. User changed BOM multiple times in ECC and Order in ME got updated. But unfortunately order status in ME changed to 'closed' with this user were not able to process the SFCs further.

When I try to change Shop order status to releasable manually in Shop Order maintenance, application throwing below warning message:

"Current Build Qty will disable, unreleased serial/SFC numbers and delete released SFCs"

How can I change shop order status to releasable without effecting current SFCs or how to resolve this error?

Thanks & regards,

Madhu

Hi Shridhar,

'IS_LAST_REPORTING_STEP=True' is at last operation step. We can see change production activities at middle of one of the operation but business said they didn't do any changes in the production. Also no where we can see changes happened in Audit log report for order.

With kind regards,

Madhu

Hi Madhu,

ok.

I faced the same issue. In my case, 'IS_LAST_REPORTING_STEP=True' was not at an last operation. After the operation where where reporting step was set was completed in ME, confirmation was sent to ERP. Then we did Change PO BOM in ERP and released /interfaced LOIPRO to ME, after loipro workflow execution, the Shop order status was set to Closed.

Thanks, Shridhar

We changed order status from SOAP UI which changed order status sucessfully without any issues and business were able to process the sfcs. But still we are unable to trace out the order status change.

Hi Madhu,

If the BOM has been changed and the Prod Order was updated, then the SFCs are no longer consistent with the Material Reservation in the ECC production order. I would suspect that it is not possible to release those SFCs since they are no longer valid with respect to ECC. This is from the ECC side of things, not ME. But I would think that ME would stay consistent with the ProdOrd in ECC and if the changes were already updated in ME, that probably prevents ME from executing inconsistent SFCs.

Might need another opinion from someone more expert with SAP ME, but I suspect that is the issue.

Why not just issue new SFCs? Is it an issue with Serial Numbers?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your quick response. The main issue is Shop Order status changed to closed unexpectedly and not able to find the reason for this. There is no problem with SFCs. The application is not allowing the SFCs to process further as Shop Order status is closed. When trying to change the Shop Order status manually application is throwing below warning message:

"Current Build Qty will disable, unreleased serial/SFC numbers and delete released SFCs"

Here the main concern is if we click okay for the warning message assuming all released SFCs will get delete which should not happen.

Thanks & regards,

Hi Madhu,

I suspect that what you fear is going to happen regardless. However, the SFCs are not actually deleted. They are simply marked as deleted. The database underlying ME will retain the SFCs, but they may not be visible through the interface (although they should still be). Again, I think someone more expert (and more recently experienced) needs to chime in.

You may also want to have a sharp discussion with the person who made the modifications to the BOM without consideration to its impact on existing orders.

Cheers, Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks again for your immediate reply. I am planning to close one shop order in quality and want to change it back to releasable.

It also occurred to me that whoever changed the BOM did not correctly identify when the changes should go into effect and just let it be the default of immediate and all orders. They should revert the changes back to the original version which may help with your SFCs. Then put the changes into effect based on a date or production order number. Select only those orders which have not yet been released or downloaded to ME.

I tried to change the shop order status to releasable directly in production itself but application throwing internal error when I clicked on OK on warning message. Application not allowing to change the order status manually too.
