We would like to start scrapping WIP parts on a production order.
Issue we face is, operator scraps a part, creates new part to replace scrapped part and places scrap part into NCP bin.
This extra material is not accounted for and the part doesn’t technically exist on SAP to be scrapped off via a 551 movement.
Scenario below:
Production order for x200 raised, operator scraps x1 part off during operation 2 of 3 operations.
We now have x200 full spindles and x1 partially complete scrap spindle.
Scrap part is collected by quality and confirmed as scrap, part doesn’t exist on system and material hasn’t been issued also production order has been closed.
Question:
What is the best way to scrap this part off eventually by a 551 movement?
