### Assigning Resources to a Project
1. **Access the Resource Management for Projects app:**
- Ensure you have the necessary roles and authorizations, such as the Resource Manager business role (SAP_BR_RESOURCE_MANAGER), to access this app.
2. **Select a Work Package:**
- Within your project, choose the appropriate work package to which you want to assign resources.
3. **Add Team Role:**
- Click on "Add Team Role" to create a new entry for the role to be filled by a resource.
- Select a role and enter the effort and skills required for that role.
4. **Search for Resources:**
- Use the "Add Resource" option to find suitable candidates based on various criteria like name, role, or skills.
- Consider filters such as delivery organization, cost center, and service cost level to refine your search for appropriate resources.
5. **Select and Staff Resources:**
- Once you have identified suitable resources, confirm their staffing. Ensure staffing aligns with their availability for the duration of the work package.
### Managing Costs
1. **Billing Control Category:**
- Decide if the assigned resources are billable or not using the Billing Control Category option during the team role setup.
2. **Monitor Costs:**
- Use cost centers and financial functions within SAP S/4HANA Cloud to track the costs associated with staffing these resources.
- You may utilize the Project Staffing Analysis app to analyze project costs, resources, and effort.
### Additional Notes
- Ensure all relevant master data, such as availability and cost centers, is up to date.
