SAP PPM ( Project and Portfolio Management) requirement

Can anyone please let me know.

From technical prospective , Is SAP PPM 5.0 is part of ECC6.0 (EHP5) or completely separate product eg BI or SCM.

I am trying to understand the installation requirement for SAP PPM

it is an own separate NW AddOn, see SAP Note 1377104 (FAQs - SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0).
