SAP PPM Authorizations

Dear PPM-Community,

we have some specific PPM-authorization requirements. I hope you might give us some input.
Is there a way to configurate the settings (PFCG-Roles / Customizing / etc.) for the following scenarios?

Standard user "Project Management"

• The user should not be able to open any projects within the Project Management Dashboard "All Projects" of which he/she is not a member. It is OK that the user is able to see the project headers, but no opening.
• If the user was put into a role within a project he/she should have the role specific authorizations.
• The user should not have any access to portfolio management.

PPM-System admin

• The PPM-System admin must be able to open/edit all projects.

Regarding the SAP PPM configuration handbook, there are some PFCG-roles available. Can those be changed/configruated to fit our requirements?

Actually, we use CPRXRPM 610_740 (SAP Portfolio and Project Management 6.1) --> No HANA

Hi Daniel,

Yes you can use the listed PFCG roles to restrict access to your users based on the requirements you have mentioned.. You can also use ACL to restrict users to have access to their individual projects.

Hello Sammar.

thank you for your help. Next to ACL it was usefull to remove the ACO_SUPER entry from all PFCG-roles.

Issue solved.
