Hi All,

I want to communicate PI and SAP PCO where PCO and PI on different server. I defined OPC DA connection type but PCO getting "No OPC Server found" error. Network team checked rules but not found any restriction.

For testing we install PCO setup on server which PI installed and they communicate succesfully.

If you have any suggestion on PI or PCO , we can try it.

PI SDK Version:1.4.7

PCO Version: 15.5.4

Thanks all.

Have you configured the DCOM security between the two machines ? If not follow the DCOM security section of the PCo Security Guide ( https://help.sap.com/doc/794078e7f6da43eaa06d41880d03ab96/15.4.0/en-US/loio6204d2bb495644c08618f7423...

You could also use the OSI PI source systems as well (OSISOFT PI Source System or Asset Framework Source System depending on which version of OSI you are using)

Thanks

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I checked DCOm security. All permission success. Also other options not connecting to PI server.

Still sounds like a DCOM / Firewall issue , can you test it using something like OPCExpert?

Microsoft has made significant changes and has enabled "hardening" of DCOM. Recommend you review this KB and make sure that your security settings for DCOM are appropriate if this KB as been applied to either PCo or OSI PI servers.

If you have to use COM or DCOM, it would be much better to install PCo on the OPI PI Server. Otherwise, as Kevin recommended, use the recommended OSI Source Agents in PCo to connect to your OSI PI Server.
