please advise in addressing the the following error which I keep getting when I try to save my query "Error while reading the response java.net.socketException: connection reset error "
What could be causing the issue and how does one resolve this take note I have no network experience
While I can't be sure, it sounds like your connection to the server reset. What I recommend is to copy the contents of the Query, then refresh/relogin to the instance. You may be able to save your template at that point, but quite possibly not.
If not, then recreate your query and save it immediately. Alternatively, save the query script to a text file and then recreate your query.
This often happens if you have had the workbench open for a while without performing any actions.
Cheers, Mike

Are you within a VPN when trying to access the workbench? If so, check to see if the connection dropped and then you will need to re-establish the VPN again before proceeding. You might want to check with your network support folks beyond that.
Some other items it could be: firewall settings being updated, security updates, and you might also have to do an exclusion to access MII as it frequently causes various java issues.
