SAP MII Energy Analysis | Does it support differential Tariff handling?

We are planning to implement energy monitoring for one of the clients. Can the current solution(out-of-box) support differential energy rates for day of a week. We have a scenario where power rates vary based on weather it is a holiday, normal day a,a weekend, etc.

Has anyone tried this and has any idea? Thanks in advance for taking some time out for this.

Best Regards,

Swaroop

Hi Swaroop,

Been done before:

https://blogs.sap.com/2010/12/02/join-osisoft-and-sap-for-a-special-eco-innovation-forum-session-on-...

https://archive.sap.com/kmuuid2/d0b2091c-6fc9-2d10-fb98-eb3fb3a84471/Energy%20and%20Carbon%20Managem...

But I don't think I understand what you mean by out of the box. You have to have a source for the variable energy pricing whether it is a table, a set of time range values, or some external webservice. For the system mentioned in the two links, we simply applied the rates at specific time intervals based on (if I remember right) a table with rates for specific times (which were the defined sampling points in a 24 hour day.

Cheers, Mike

Thank Mike for sharing this.

Somehow, this does not answer the question however I learnt it from SAP that this is not provided as a built in solution with SAP MII energy monitoring capability.

When I say out of the box, I was referring to SAP MII box and the package having capability to record week wise tariff plans, which is not provided as the moment.
