Hi Experts,
we have one requirement to archive the data(Transactional Data) into MII that is processing through SAP MII. As per our understanding Archiving should be done on SAP side or from where the data is coming.
So could you please help us with some process if there is any way to archive the data into SAP MII if possible, IF yes then please share some inputs on this.
Quick help is appriciated.

Generally speaking SAP ERP (ECC) is the system of record. MII typically only holds data for local use and is rarely the system of record for any transactional data. If you were to be archiving data in MII, it should most likely fall to the db admins of the underlying database to do so. They should also be responsible for periodic purging of data, but that is a task which is often of such a low priority that it could be years for doing so. Often the driving force behind purging is due to performance degradation over time.
What kinds of transactional data are you concerned about?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for quick response. you are correct that DBAdmin should be responsible for archiving the data but in this case MII is sitting over the HANA DB. But the requirement is to archiving the data so later on if user want to see the archived data they can see it in MII.
we are processing Material, Process order, GR and quality data through MII.

You are now in the position where you should be challenging requirements. Why does it have to be seen in MII? How far back do they want to go?
None of those items mentioned have MII as the system of record. That data would be far better to be retrieved from the system of record or possibly the HANA database instead of MII.
