Hello, Can you detail the differences in these applications and if both are available in S4 HANA.
Request clarification before answering.
SAP ECC + SAP MII( integration(component like OEEINT/MEINT) and Intelligence(developing reports + Custom Transactions)) + SAP ME(for manufacturing component tracking and configuration ) + flavor of PCo(connectivity to shop floor) = your Production Shop Floor/Manufacturing Unit.

Hi Shelly,
Neither of them are available in S4HANA however both of them integrate with S4HANA. They are installed on a standalone server and are JAVA based rather than ABAP based.
SAP ME (Manufacturing Execution) is a enterprise grade Manufacturing Execution System where all of the functionality is already developed and you configure it to meet you own requirements. It is typically used in discrete manufacturing.
SAP MII (Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence) I describe as more of a development toolbox that allows you to build virtually anything you want. It is commonly used to build MES systems for process manufacturing. With MII we also provide two off the shelf pre-built projects, one is a mini MES system that helps to measure OEE and the other is an energy management solution.
We do have two other MES systems available , one inside S4HANA called PEO and a cloud based MES called DMCe .
Hope this helps
Kevin
