SAP MEINT scheduler long running thread

What is the standard procedure to find out the root cause if any of the message scheduler in SAP MII gets stuck with a long running thread. ?

Thanks for the reference Mike.Its really helpful.

We are using few custom BAPI's in our transaction, we checked, there was request/response delay.

Check the logs first. See if you have transaction manager enabled for always or on error. See what transaction logging is taking place in processing the messages.
