SAP ME combine certifications

Hello all,

I am looking at a way to combine certain certificates in SAP ME for a certain operation/data collection.

What I am looking at, as an example, is to have three incremental levels like Novice, Intermediate and Expert as a certificate but for the operation or data collection to have the Novice as a requirement to start. So an user with the higher one can be able to start/complete the operation as the certifications are incremental.

Is there a way to do it or its just a case of assigning the user the ones he is certified out of the 3 so in my example the Expert would have the Expert and the Novice certificate as well.

Hi Andras,

You map an object of your control to a certificate. Then, to let a user access this object, you assign the certificate to a user. It is that straightforward. No hierarchy of certificates is designed.

You can use Certificate Types just to group certificates for some logical representation, but the Types do not have any functional role.
