SAP ME 2D barcode issue

Hi Experts,

We have an SAP ME 15.5 POD running on the Edge browser on Windows 10 machines.

There is a particular workflow intermittently not working as expected, where the user/operator will scan the QR code and the application should populate the ERP Serial number in the SAP ME POD screen.

We see different behaviors sometimes the application throws a fatal error on scanning the QR code, the other times the browser tab where the application is opened closes itself as soon as the QR code is scanned and opens a new tab in its place, and the value gets added into URL space of new tab.

The issue happens in Edge as well as Chrome Browser.

The issue has always been there in Edge/Chrome Browser.

Any idea, the reason behind this behavior? Where do I need to look into this?
