With the introduction of SAP EPPM for major capital projects, what is the future of SAP Investment Management (IM)? At the PPM bucket level, planning and forecasting can be done at a high level, allowing users to create a portfolio item and trigger projects in both PPM and PS. While PPM offers review mechanisms and scoring models for better decision-making, IM remains an efficient tool for managing budgets. Does SAP recommend completely eliminating IM in favor of EPPM, regardless of user requirements? Or is there still a strategic role for IM in budget management alongside EPPM?

IM isn't being sunsetted, so if it meets your business requirements you can continue to use it.
