I am currently working on a client who is planning on moving from SAP FMS to SAP S4. Currently we have the Char Profile class 026 linked to the Merchandise Category in SAP FMS which means we have a restriction on the Char Profiles we can assign to an article master based on the merch categ. In S4, SAP have dismantled the link and the Merch category has been moved back to the material group and the Char Prof is now class 300. I am trying to understand why the link has been taken out and also as the restriction of a number of char profiles assigned to a merch categ in FMS is limitation provided as a business functionality how do we address the link during a migration to S4 from FMS. Any advice is appreciated.
