SAP EHS WWI services in hosted windows server

Hi SAP EHS experts,

Do any of you currently run SAP EHS WWI instance for SDS or Label printing using hosted/cloud based NT servers.

Did you face any issues when moving from dedicated to hosted service?

I would hope no one runs NT-Servers anymore these days! 🙂

If you have your SAP Systems as part of your internal network and you want to connect WWI Servers from an external (= not your company ) Network - call it Cloud or just hosted Server - you will have to deal with a lot of security related topics:

The SAP system and who can connect to it is very strict handled (at least it should be). With your proposed SetUp you want that outside resources can connect to the SAP System . This is possible but you'll probably have to do a lot of explaining.

Of course performance can become an issue as sending and receiving Word Documents to external resource might take considerable longer....

I have not seen this kind of set-up yet. Most of the time the SAP System is hosted external (IBM etc.) and the host the needed Windose Server for WWI as well.
