SAP EHS Task Management Configurations

Hello Expert,

We are upgrading our S4 1709 system to 1909 and we came to know that EHSM has been completely revamped in 1909 especially the way Incident actions were created previously using the BOPF EHFND_ACTION, this is no longer supported and we have a new Task Management framework.

Can anyone shed some more light on this new framework or have any kind of configuration guide which we can follow?

The SAP help document on EHS 1909 does not give much details. Really would appreciate if someone can point me to the correct direction on how we can go about our migration.

task-management.jpgHello ,

Below is the Task Management configuration -

SPRO - Foundation - Task Management - Specify Available Task type for business Objects and maintain the below -

Now - You have to enable the below services from SICF -

ehsimtsk_invs1 ehsimtsk_rels1 ehstask_defs1 ehstask_insts1 ehstask_libs1 ehstask_mnots1 ehstask_mocs1 ehstask_mons1 ehsimtsk_rels1 ehs_em_scen_task_list_srv EHSTASK_MONS1

In 1909 - You will only get notification of Task only in My Inbox where you can

1. Mark as completed or not completed .

2. Approve /Reject ( If you create Task with or Without approval

Add the workflow - Task in the user IDs -

WS00800145 WS00800167 WS00800190

And Task in the user IDs -

TS00800382

TS00800422

Also you have to add these Task in My Inbox Configuration -

Spro - SAP Gateway Service Enablement - Content - Task Gateway Service -Scenario -

TS00800382_WS00800145

TS00800382_WS00800167

TS00800422_WS00800167

TS00800422_WS00800190

And Enable Monitor Task App from Fiori App Library .

After maintaining SPRO and The above service , Open Incident Click on the Manage Task Button - This will open in new tab - and click on Add Task from right side

Hopefully it should work 🙂

Thanks Mohammed, The config screen shot which you have attached is this out of the box or do i need to maintain these entries?

In my system the config is blank.

Also in our 1709 system we were using custom workflows created from standard WF templates for incident LC, incident actions and investigation.

can i use the same workflows again by tweaking based on new templates?

It does not comes out of the box, tho the configurations are standard for all the scenarios , you can replicate the same .

Incident LC workflow and Investigation are different and the above mentioned workflows are only for Task , no need of tweaking , you just assigned and it should work.

HI Mohamed,

i made the configurations and started the migration using the R_EHFND_WFF_RESTART_PROCESSES , but we ran into an error where the system is not able to find the workitems . As we archive the old workflows in the system when it is trying to convert the completed workflows into the new task management workflows the program gives errors and does not do anything.

Is there a way we can migrate old actions into tasks without having their workflows migrated (since they are no longer in the system). EHHSSD_PIC_ROOT table holds the reference of the old workflow but the program tries to read the workflow container data and that is missing.

My question is how can we migrate these old actions into the new task framework so that they are visible in the FIORI apps.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

In Se38 - Can you run the report - R_EHFND_TDEF_SCHEDULER_JOB

In working environment only , this is one time activity . Later run R_EHFND_WFF_RESTART_PROCESSES

Migration can be done by program , direct at table level.

GoodJob, After referred your post i resolved my issue ,

Hello Team,

Same topics but different issue.

a task is sent to the assignee (in incident management) but when the assignee forwards the task to the person B, the person B doesnt receive it.

Same issue when you assign the task to a person A and then you decide to assign it to another person (person B), the person B doesn't receive it in his inbox.

Any idea what it could be? We are searching like crazy but nothing...I was thinking about the task management? There is probably a paramter that allows a task to be forwarded or not?

thank you!!

Have a great day!
