Hello Experts,

Currently, I am working as a SAP APO Consultant, but I have a willing to learn & work on EHS module.

May I know, what would be its scope in future, would be it worth to work as EHS consultant or APO consultant in coming years?

Please help me with sincere answers.

Thank you

Regards

Hello Rahul

EH&S as a SAP module has been improved in the recent years by SAP in many areas giving rise to the SAP EHS Management approach. In Addition we have seen the development of the SAP REACH Compliances suite. It can be assumed that because of the SAP sustainability approach that EHS will get further improvements in the following years.

As EH&S is a little bit different comparing to the approaches in the other modules (EH&S is a "legal" driven module; MM, PP etc. are used mainly to provide services etc. in the areas of the important logistic core processes in a company) My proposal would be:

we will have further changes in legislation in the EH&S environment which need to be dealed with by using EH&S. So from the middle and long term perspective EH&S is a module there many companies will invest and therefore business and development resources will be searched for. Even if the "hype" regarding REACh is now on normal level it can be assumed that other countries will follow the REACH and as well as GHS approaches. Generally Webdynpro applications will be used more and more in the area of EH&S environment. Other modules linked to EH&S are if interest now and in the future too (liek Recipe Management) and the integration to the other modules is improved step by step (eg.- QM interface).

So EH&S is a still growing module and SAP will react faster and faster to the demands of the market using the Enhancement Package approach

So yes EH&S is a very interesting module one can investigate.

With best regards

C.B

PS: integration into BW and other modules will grow too;
