Hi All,
Its regarding EH&S QM interface where we are creating inspection plans which should pass on specification data from EH&S and create inspection plans in QM. As per my understanding the Rating in Usage for particular Value assignments should be QM, Validity area category as PLANT. Suppose if we categorize VATS as QM relevant we are not able to use the same in Public documents say MSDS. If we categorize VATS as PUBLIC then an inspection plan cannot be created. Please suggest how USAGE can be maintained such that it fulfills QM and MSDS criteria.
thanks in advance

Dear Akula
many users/consultants etc. have really problems in understanding the potential uses of the "USAGE". (and it is not easy).
E.g. in your case you mix up topics. Let use assume: you use the "Color" as well in MSDS and in EHS/QM interface. You have decided to use the rating "PUBLIC". Now can simply use usage as:
PUBLIC + (REG_WORLD + PLant code (whatsoever)); if PUBLIC is "tagged" as QM relevant and gen var uses PUBLIC you satisfy MSDS and QM interface. In most cases we can assume that the value to be shown in MSDS can be the same as for QM. But there are limitations.
Sometimes you would like to print in MSDS 3 values for density like:
0°C value, 15°C value and 20°C value. In this case you should not use "PUBLIC" as the QM" trigger,. In most cases then it is better to add a new rating as e.g. "QM"
Then story could be
Data record 1 0°C 0,9 g/cm3 PUBLIC/REG_WORLD
Data record 2 10°C 0,8 g/cm3 PUBLIC/REG_WORLD
Data record 3 20°C 0,7 g/cm3 PUBLIC/REG_WORLD
Any of these values can now show up in MSDS: Now you "just" decide: which value you would like to pass on to QM and just add e.g. QM (as rating) + plant code (plant cased as validity area) as the usage in the relevant data record
