Hi All,
How is SAP GRC solution different with SAP EHS solution when it comes to regulatory compliances, environmental and health protection.?
How SAP's Corporate Sustainibility solution initiative would merge these two sloutions to come up with a uniform, end-to-end solution? What's SAP's roadmap for achieving a seamless solution for sustainibility?
Thanks in Advance

Hello Pavan,
GRC is an Integrated application framework for entrie Enterprise, which includes EH&S besides Risk Management, Access Control, Process Control and Global Trade services.
SAP Sustainability Initiative - is all about ensuring sustainable operations and managing Risk management, So it might also contain solutions like EH&S, Risk management, GTS (whose are part of GRC) for ensuring sustainability. So when you look from Compliance & Safety then it becomes part of GRC and when you look from strategic issues then its a part of Sustainability Management.
In other way SAP Solutions are small building blocks - how you want to use these building blocks for different application framework depends on your requirement - whether to use only for people safetey (just SAP EH&S) or to comply Risk and Compliance (GRC) or to comply sustainability (GRC for Reporting requirements, SAP Strategy Management).
These SAP Sustainability can in turn be leveraged for each Industry Sector and this SAP Sustainability can in turn be Sustainability for Oil & Gas, SAP Sustainability for Mining etc.
Thanks

Hi Jayakumar,
Thanks for the usefull information. My confusion is regarding some conflicting functionalities between GRC and EHS management solution like, Risk management, compliances, and process control. I am a bit aware that in case of GRC, it has also to do with financials, corporate governance etc; but, not sure whether it encompasses hazard risk management for safety, compliance for various environmental regulations etc.
GRC, if I am not wrong, became SAP GRC, when SAP acquired Business Objects (BO) recently. So, I was wondering whether SAP is trying to avoid redundancy by integrating GRC and EHS management to come up with a seamless SAP sustainability solution.
Off late, I read that SAP is coming up with a solution called "SAP Energy Management". Any idea of it, whether it would be a part of strategy management or reporting? What would it use for data analytics, GRC or EC of EH&S?
Thanks & Regards
Pavan

Jayakumar
