Hi,

I'm interested in the development history of the SAP EH&S solutions from the beginning, through the Product and Reach Compliance Suite and into the EHS Component Extension. Anyone have a nice overview?

Dear Mark

you need to pay attention with "terms". Check e.g. https://blogs.sap.com/2013/05/07/sap-ehs-management-for-beginners/ to get a first "idea" about history.

Looking into the future: you should more focus on the solution which SAP is planning to deliver and partially is delivering based on new "S/4 HANA" environment. As here the "terms" are changing again: forget about the old world.

1.) Product and Reach Compliance Suite => is not supported anymore in S/4 HANA environment

2.) Currently we have EHS Component Extension in version 6.0; with S/4 HANA: we will get a new environment

3.) Currently the "old" EHS solution doés have this name at SAP: SAP EHS Management as Part of SAP ERP; with S/4 HANA: this will be different

Therefore: check the new solutions coming with S/4 HANA; why looking back ? Only with S/4 HANA we will see "innovation"; SAP Fiori interfaces etc.
