SAP DMS for EHS module

Hi DMS Experts,

Hey I need your suggestion guys, I have to implement SAP DMS for EH&S module. From EH&S screen, we have a provision to attach DMS documents, but from DMS module there is no object link for any components of EH&S module like occupational Health, Waste management, Industrial Hygiene & Safety and Hazardous management. Do we have to go for development of new object link in DMS screen or is there any provision. Kindly suggest. Users require that from EH&S screens only dms documents gets uploaded and numbers should be generated in DMS, so basically we can say that DMS will be running in background.

Hello

DMS is one of the required modules for EHS to function. Whatever documents you generate in EHS you store them in DMS. You use DMS functionality to declare document types used in EHS, create document statuses and assign EHS document types to DMS documents. In Document Info records there is a option called Object links - there you can use EHS objects to link the documents. You can use either ESTLP (Sub. rep. gen. variant ) or ESTRH (Specification header) to link the documents.

Hi Dear,

Actually in EH&S module, so many times I came across one path, named "User defined Text", wherein EHS users can link their documents with SAP DMS. Say in one of the component of EH&S named "Occupational Health", users can link DMS documents. But my query is that how in DMS, I can know whether any object is linked or not, as there is no object related to "Occupational Health" in DMS.

Suggest me how to proceed.

Sorry i dont have idea, how you can solve this issue. Hope our other friends in this forum can help u.

I want to know one thing from you, what are the benefits users can get by having EHS - DMS integeration, what all EHS functionalities and benefits we can achieve with this integeration. I just know about one benefit like we can attach emegency plans in work areas. Please help me on this.

Hi all,

I have 5 months working in DMS and I have this problem since after upgrade, in status network for certain document types users have to see a PDF file only for the status SS (Superseded) and CA (Cancelled), but currently they can see both PDF and a word file.

I found all this implemented already and the users are saying it was working in 4.7 but since ECC6.0 it doesnu2019t work. Is this done in the config or by Abapers?
