Currently we are setting up Demos for OEE calculation, this is how far we got:
-Integrating Workcenters and Resources
-Setting up OEE Configuration with Reason Codes for Resources
-Changing Resource Status
-Calculating/Visualizing the OEE based on the availability for a Resource
However with a hierarchical Workcenter Structure in Mind...
1. Level: Production Line A
2. Level Line A - Cell A
2. Level Line A - Cell B
2. Level Line A - Cell C
..it seems like the OEE Configuration is much more complex and not intuitive.
What we want to achive is to be able to aggregate the Cells, which produce in sequence by Resource Status to the Production Line. Meaning if one Cell is down, the whole line is down.
However currently we dont see any possible way to integrate or manually create parent/child relationships at Workcenter oder Resource level, and also in the OEE Hierarchy Section of Manage Workcenters we are unable to add any hierarchy since the "Add" button never suggests something to add.
Is this feature currently disabled?
In the meantime we will try to archieve our use case manually by creating dummy resources that represent the overall production line status.
It would be really helpful to have a blog post regarding the OEE Hierarchy.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi,
Regarding OEE Hierarchy, I suggest you check: https://help.sap.com/docs/sap-digital-manufacturing/execution/manage-work-centers?q=%22OEE+Hierarchy...
Regarding Availability calculation and parent/child resources, check https://help.sap.com/docs/sap-digital-manufacturing/insights/parent-resource-availability-calculatio...
If you still face issues or have further questions, I suggest you raise a ticket.
