SAP Digital Manufacturing for Pharma Industry

Hi guys,

we have some leads from the pharma industry for implementing SAP DM. Some of them went also to Walldorf and had a look at the sample factory. They were told, that SAP DM is currently not ready for the pharma industry and that SAP has the missing functions on the roadmap for 2025.

Now we want to know, which functions are missing. We could identify so far only the EBR function.

Do you know more functions which are missing?

Hi Christian,

Aside from EBR other key functions that need to be improved are master data approval/workflow, user authorizations, SFC Report, active ingredient(s) support, electronic signature and QM integration. Meanwhile, a partner may be able support any gaps as a customization depending on the implementation. If you have any further questions/concerns, please contact me directly.

Do you have any updates regarding this issue ? Electronic Batch Record is usually being implemented via 3rd party MES applications integrated with SAP
