Hey Guys,
here is what I did:
- Installed a OPC-Server and connected it to MII (a ph-Meter is connected via OPC/RS232)
- Created a TagQuery
- Chose the OPC-Server
Now the problems start:
If I choose Modus "Current" I get the results when I do a test with the RxD-Data. That´s fine.
But when I choose "CurrentWrite" and do a test, sending a query to the ph-Meter with the TxD-Data, the message "Fatal Error: Error occurred while processing data stream, Connection reset".
The strange thing is that on the MII-Server in the UDS-Admin my UDS of the ph-Meter is stopped. I´ve to start it again.
And when I check the ph-Meter the query is done.
So it seems that I can read data from the ph-Meter. I can also send, but I can´t receive the answer. After restarting the UDS I can see that the query was done.
Any ideas, suggestions, helps?? Need more information?

Request clarification before answering.
Hi Martin,
are you able to to set the UDS to debug and post the log?
The log is located beneath the UDS installation directory. Which UDS are you using?
Ciao,
Matthias

Hey!
Thanks for replying.
- MII 11.5.1 b54
- UDS Administration 2.5.0.4
- Windows Server 2003 RS2
I the UDS I set "Debug" to True but there is no file saved.
Can I upload the screenshot somehow?

I think the problem is between OPC-UDS or UDS-MII.
When I use the OPC-Client, I can write values and I get results from the ph-Meter without a breaking connection.
So my guess: OPC with machine works fine.
When I want to write from MII, it´s sending the value to the machine but after that the UDS Stopps and I´ve to restart it.
Connection from OPC-Server to machine is working all the time and without errors.
Exactly. There are lots of interoperability issues with OPC Servers and clients, though
the products itself can communicate via their client to their server
So it is very likely that there is a problem / misconfiguration between UDS and OPC server.
To drill down the problem it is vital to have valuable data. So therefore provide a log
of the OPC communication.
