Roadmap Recipe Development

Dear all

Does anyone have any insight into SAPs plans regarding 'Recipe Development'? I've not been particularly successful in gathering reliable information from available sources such as the Roadmap Explorer. But generally speaking, SAP pushes very hard towards Cloud anyway. And I can't help getting the impression it will sooner or later move into Enterprise Product Development (cloud-only). The question is whether any on-premise PLM solution in S/4 would remain.

Your thoughts?

Dear Jan,

we recently made some enhancements in the Recipe Development like the contribution view and its enhancements to be found in the formulation. But we also made some enhancements supporting the recipe developer in his daily tasks like the integration of specifications into the EPD collaboration to allow the developer to directly collaborate with a supplier on new raw materials he needs for his recipe development, so that he can directly consume the feedback for his formulation. This integration we also downported to ECC EHP8 to make it consumable also for ECC customers.

Regarding new innovations for the recipe development process I can share the information that we are running discussions about the next steps and functionalities and we intent to provide an update beginning of next year.

quite niece that you referencee my question (never received an answer regarding my question ) ... but in the meantime... My question was asked 2016; now we have as well the new "Product Compliance" software "in the game" (please take a look to the very good blogs of Christian (refer here: https://blogs.sap.com/2020/11/13/product-compliance-in-sap-s-4hana-cloud-the-link-collection/) )

As you are highlighting: in the future we might have "Enterprise Product Development " in the "game"... as part of this: if you participate in the many options to get "news" from SAP.. we can only see.. yes may be there is a "change" coming up for "Recipe Development" as well... but we do not know details.

So in a nutshell.. just focus on the last sentence given above:

Which options SAP will use to share the "news" which seems to come next year.. we do not know yet. So we have just to wait
