Resource search by qualification does not reveal any results

Hi Guys,

I am trying to search for resources by qualifications in cProjects 4.0 and getting no results despite having users with the required qualification. The steps I have taken to set this up are as follows.

1. Created scales, qualifications and qualification catelogs under cProjects IMG > Res Mgt > Qualification Mgt.

2. Deactivated WFM Core integration by removing the 'X' in the IMG option "Activate Qualification Search and Matchup Using WFM Core"

3. Assigned qualifications to users using tcode PPPM

4. Project role type is set to staff by project lead and my user has all authorizations for the project including admin and res mgt (and SAP_ALL too).

Anything I have missed out? Searched OSS but couldn't really find anything useful. I am not using any integration with SAP HR or WFM Core.

Thanks,

Lashan

Not sure if this would reveal any clues. When I check from RPM_EMPDATA it says no skills (is this same as qualifications?) maintained for the BP. I have entered qualifications from transaction PPPM....

Hi Lashan,

Just check if the BP is maintained with an 'Employee' role.

Hi Lashann,

Your first post says that you have "Assigned qualifications to users using tcode PPPM".

You would need to assign qualifications to Business Partners via PPPM. Please check the same.

Thanks a lot Vivek, I didn't scroll down in the 'find by' column and did not see the BP (rookie mistake). I had assumed that you can only assign qualification to users and since the BP is tied to the user that it will work...

Anyway, thanks a lot.

Cheers,

Lashan

Hi,

The steps mentioned are correct. Please check the following in cProject front end.

1. Select the project role for which you want to find resources.

2. Check whether you want to use all qualifications for tasks and roles as search criteria. If not, delete the ones you do not require.

3. Check the proficiencies and mandatory qualification requirements

4. Then choose >> (Add Selected Qualification to Qualification Requirements).

5. Select the required proficiency for each qualification.

6.Then select find resource./

Please check whether it works.

Hi Yogesh,

Thanks for the response. To make things really simple, what I did was added 1 qualification for a role with no assigned tasks. I've made sure that a user exists (and is linked to BP) with the exact qualification and proficiency, but I am getting no results.

This is a relatively straightforward config and functionality so I am pretty sure the issue is something right under my nose

Appreciate any more ideas you may have...

Cheers,
