Resource Planning on PPM Item with PS Project

Dear All

I am implementing PPM with S/4 Hana 2020. I am creating PPM item which eventually transfer as PS project as per standard process along with plan cost.

Now, I also wanted to resource planning as a Project Manager assign to same item. I know if we do Item to PPM project resource planning can be possible as per PPM process. But,

My query is can I do resource planning on Item without creating a PPM project but only PS where is selected resource can be assigned to Item as well as PS project? If so let me know how it can be done as I am not able to configure same.
