Report was generating system error in CG50

Hi Experts,

We have a specification which is generating report with system error in CG50. Generated report using template for newly created symbol.

We have checked versions, EHS packages and templates are configured perfectly. We can able to execute the report in quality system, but we cannot able to create the same report in production.

Error: In WWI server, we are getting error message as ' Creating data structure has failed' for program 'RC1WWIWP'.

Please let me know your views on this.

Dear Siva,

The best thing to do is to maintain the settings prescribed for DMS as per sap note:1091699

You can use the utility program RC14SXDVSCHECK to check the most important DMS

functions that are used by EH&S. if there is any error, check the DMS system and correct

the settings.

Thanks for your inputs.

The problem occurs with only one specification.But we can able to generate reports for other specifications.

Report symbols and templates are configured perfectly in Production.We found that there is difference in generation variants in Quality and Production systems.Please advise me if this will create error while generating reports.

Hello Siva,

This is the version of your template I am 100% postive does not cause issue but are both template same ?? why than there is 2 version ??

check - if number of entries for symbol matches in both the client,

              do you get an error message which symbol is missing ?

              Check all the VT type and Charterstics are same in both the client - I think possibly one VT could be missing which may not have symbol or Charterstics not assigned to class

The symbols,VT type and characteristics were defined perfectly in the template.But we noticed that there is difference in header of template in quality and production.Will that cause an error while generating report?

Hi Siva,

why not simply check? Adjust the template in P so that it looks like the one in Q and generate again. If it orks: Fine, if not, let us know and we'll try to find another error.

please check the syntax of the report symbol I am not sure if "ZZ/ZZ/ZZZZ" is correct. I assume you would like to print the date inn a "formated" form. This might be not easy as with gen variant you define the printing as well. may be there might come up a conflict taht if gen varian is specifed like: YYYY/MM/DD and in your example is DD/MM/YYYY.

Hello Siva,

Try following -

1.Is this is the only template/ Gen Variant Causing Issue - If not - Check setting for WWI server and check the log at server as well as CGSADM -

2. If you were able to create report for any other Gen Variant/ Template than -

Are you able to display a report from Report from Template - if No - Check the Log

if Yes -

Try checking User Parameter for both Your ID and Batch User ID -

where - ESWWI_INST= FRONTEND

Also check Document type Config for SBE and SBR

Also check if even a DIR is created in SAP using CVO4N when you create a report and if you happen to see DIR is created but no document is Attached - Check Status for Document type.

The error message some time misleading but let me know your finding shall be able to troubleshoot more.

the tips of Gopi are important. First check if you have the same problem with a different specifcition. Then go on likeGopis has mentioned. Can yopu compare WWI template on prod with the othere system? any difference? any report symbol missing in prod?
