Dear Expert,
I notice that, following three Standard Report Symbols are giving the same output which is Specification Number - 00001000067
If we see the Report Symbol Configuration, all there have same table name & Field Name. table - ESTRH and Field – SUBID
Template:
Output:
Can you please help me to understand the Significance or Use of each report Symbol.
Thanking You,

Hi Amol,
I never notived this! However, for the output for the UN prefix and suffix you should use G1022034UN and G1022034U1, respectively. GESTRSUBID will simply output the specification key.
By their definition, E1022034UN and E1022034U1 will also print the spec ID, though what they are being used for I have no idea.

Hi Christoph & Ralph,
Thanks for the reply.
As correctly mentioned by Ralph, There is dedicated report symbols to fetch the information of Prefix and Suffix of DG from SAP_EHS_1022_034 which are shown below,
and
As a general rule, there must be some rationale behind creating report symbol - E1022034UN & E1022034U1 as these are Standard Report Symbol developed by SAP
Does any one know what is the use of these report symbols as spec id can be fetched from GESTRSUBID.
Thanking You !
Dear Amol
I have really no idea what SAP would like to achieve with these "E Symbols". I checked our system. SAP_EHS_1022_034 is of type "A" that means contains only a class and characteristics; I struggle as well a liitle bit with the "convention" used.
E1022034UN and E1022034U1 starts with "E". I found only these two symbols which are defined like that. An that they are refering to "suffix" and "prefix" does not really make sense.
In http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/de/43/4d21bfde9657bfe10000000a155369/20_EHS_EN.pdf
there is a small reference to this value assignment type: Here it is mentioned that more characteristics should be available.
I found no direct evidence that this value assignment type is used often in "DG" area (during e.g. filling process by standard).

Hi Christoph,
Thanks for the reply and efforts put to get the information.
I have also have tried at my end to get the 'Significance' for these symbols but not through...
anyway.. I will update the thread if I get any information...
Dear All,
if anyone of you know the answer, kindly request you to please share your knowledge, as still thread is unanswered...
Thanking You !
Dear Amol
the first two symbols seems to be used in context of property "SAP_EHS_1022_034 Output of Dangerous Goods Information"; I need to check this property (definition etc.); the third symbol clearly reference a "specification" ID.
As you may be pasted only part of WWI document these are my assumptions:
The GESTRSUBID symbol can (to my knowledge) be used to print the spec id of specification from hit list or by using main groups etc to print spec id. of component (properites composition; spec listing)
The other two reference I believe clearly to "value assignment" records; Which type of spec do you have used? REAL_SUB, LS_UN_SUB to generate the WWI document? Which data is present in property SAP_EHS_1022_034 Output of Dangerous Goods Information"?
With best regards
C.B.
