Hello ,
we have problem with the document renaming option in ECTR. Renaming works in QA System over renaming option in side popup menu but not in productive system. After check out, rename and check in the document name is changing to the original name again. We check the customizing of both systems and it is similar and the configuration (xml) files too. Thanks for a hint.
Best regards
Johannes

Hello,
Problem is solved. After searching for the reason, I have transported several Trequests with this issue once more into the system. Then test the renaming function without an error. It seemed that something was going wrong during the transport sequence from q assurance to productive :-(.
Best regards
Johannes

Hi,
I am checking the SAP operations guide of ECTR.
Setting rename_master_original="..." seems to influence the renaming of the document when creating a new version. Below is the output depending on the parameter:
yes: The file name is formed using the PartNameRules. (Default) no: The file name of the predecessor version is copied unchanged.
Cheers

Hi Anil,
no it is a really curius problem. It seems that it has to do with the configuration files for each user. I can rename the document on productive without checkout and checkin but not on q . Another user can rename on q but not on p. Also the dialog looks different and this all by same permissions....
Best regards
Johannes
hi rensenjo , thank you for your reply. Ok, if this is user specific behaviour maybe you can take a look at the CAD group of these different users? Reference Webpage - User role ECTR
Regards,
Anil
