New to DMS but we have setup a scenario where we have PDF's stored on http sharepoint location within our company. The pdf's are managed and updated on occasion by end users. Filenames and location remain the same. Currently we have to check in a pdf from that location in CV02N. If an update is made to PDF, we have to delete link to PDF in CV02N and add a new link to updated PDF on sharepoint server. Is there a way to make default DMS location and sharepoint location one and the same so we do not have to check in/check out pdf's to get updated versions? Assuming that this is even possible?

Hi Scott,
maybe you should keep the PDF file checked out in the document info record. Then the system has to access the file in its origin location. If you edit the file there and you access it the next time from CV02N or CV03N the latest information should be shown up.
