Recommended Word Settings

Hi All,

I am searching for a document or documents that provide recommended MS Word settings in the options of MS Word. I have a user that can view a WWI report from template once and then any subsequent reports just hang and never open. This problem is isolated to that users computer. That is to say, she can use my computer with her credentials in SAP and has no problems. I cannot see anything out of the ordinary in any of the settings. We've reinstalled her front end and MS Office with no luck. I would just like a document that details the correct settings as a base line. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Jason,

below are the steps which need be performed on MS Word front

1) Please check you the WWI folder in the SAP GUI installable. with this standard installation, now WWI folder is included. Make sure that, you have following 3 files in it

wwilayt.dot

wwiDispl.dot

wwi.dot

2) in MS word setting, Word Options> Advanced> File Location--> User teammate. Here brows and give the location of WWI folder in your system

3) Make sure that, the Macro Security setting is LOW

Thanks for the reply Amol. I made the change to the File Location for templates and everything else looked ok, but that didn't solve the problem. This is very strange as SAP will open one template with no problem, but once that file is printed and we try to open another report (same template/gen variant but different spec) it freezes.
