REACH Portal not allowing to click on some links

Hi All,

I have an issue where in the REACH Portal, whenever I try to click on a link that is accessing a Tcode in SAP ECC (like Compliance workbench), it is about to open something, then gives me an error in dialog box that the connection www.SeverName:3600 is broken.

Any other links that do not access the back-end ECC system work fine (like Material assessment or Substance Management).  It is only with the links that are communicating with the back-end.

Has anyone come across this issue?  Please let me know if further clarification is needed.

Thanks for your time,

Niraj

Hi Niraj,

The information described by Balajee seems to be the most probably root cause of this issue, if you face this problem for all user and computers. Test the RFC connection between Portal and ECC you may have more information on the error. You can also check if any relevant trace file is generated.

Please clarify if the issue occur for every user, or if it can be isolated to a specific user or computer. There are cases where some system configuration can block the external access. e.g: firewall

Hello Niraj

this is due to disconnection of functional call between you SAP GUI & portal.

Go to SM59 and check the IP Connections are configured properly or not and take the technical team (Basis) help .
