Question: Mainrating determination in risk assessment

Hear EH&S Gurus,

WIthin Risk Assessment I entered a few amounts in the Mass Concentration to be used for references.

Than I create via analysis methods a few entries based on referencing with the amounts.

When I saved the data, I go back to the Risk assessment. Here I push the button main raiting in order to get the rating of the references.

The system takes the worst case rating of referenced values in the analysis.

Question:

I would have expect that the system takes the rating of the last record stated in the analysis view. Instead of this the system pics up the worst case rating.

Is this normal behaviour?

Can this be altered via customizing?

Thank in advance for your answer.

Best regards,

Pascal

Hi All,

I found the solution for the problem.

In the SAP help I found how we can influence this. See a copy of the text below.

Use

After you have examined the agent by means of the various analysis methods, you can specify an overall assessment of the risk situation as the main rating. To do this you evaluate the results of the risk analysis and the results of the risk evaluation.

You can assign the main rating manually or use the Main rating pushbutton to let the system calculate it from the individual ratings.

The system uses the user exit ANLS_MRATC as the basis for the calculation. You can adapt this to your requirements. In the standard system the main rating is calculated by the function module CBIH_ER07_MAINRATING_COMPUTE. It takes the u201Cworstu201D individual rating as the main rating.

Hello Pascal,

I have not worked thoroughly for Risk Assessment and its ratings, but regarding you question of altering the risk ratings, yes it can be altered using customzing.

Please see IMG activities : Specify Exposure Ratings and Set Up Risk Matrix. Also see its documentation.

Hope this information is useful to you.

Dear Niraj,

Thank you for your answer.

The Risk Matrix is used to defne a rating based on probability and severity. We are not using those entries.

We are only using the "Exposure Rating Categories" --> LMT

So "Measurement value - Reference value"

So do you think that the risk matrix can be used for that either?
