Query on PCo Capabilities

Hi Everyone,

Below  is my query please help to get the answers

1. Which agents instances can be used to write back data to PLC , Manufacturing systems etx with which PCo is connected. OPC DA allows writing of data back to Source system , other agents too allow s to right back data?

2. Can we trigger/automate any system at shop floor using write back features of Pco agents, if yes please give any real time sceneio or example?

Hi Mahesh,

The following PCo Source Agents support Tag Writes (PCoQuery mode in parenthesis)

• OPC DA (TagStore)
• OPC UA (TagStore)
• FileMonitor (TagStore, custom functions via TagFixedQuery)
• Socket (custom functions via TagFixedQuery)
• OPC HDA (TagStore, TagHistoryStore if connected Historian supports Historical value writes)
• Native Historians OSI PI, Ge Proficy, AspenTech IP21 (TagStore, TagHistoryStore if historical data writes supported or allowed by historian)
