QM Integration with SAP ME - Inspection point usage with single results?

Hello everyone,

I work on a project where multiple results recordings for single Inspection point is required.
In SAP QM using QE51N, this is no problem.

However my design need to take into account QM integration with SAP ME which I do not know.

In this SAP documentation SAP ME seems to talk about SFC Numbers and Data Collection (DC) groups.

Can SAP ME handle SAP QM inspection points / report result for inspection points?
Are these Inspection points then referred to as SFC Number in SAP ME/DM?
If yes, can SAP ME/DM handle multiple single results (=Data Collection Group??) for a single Inspection point (=SFC Number??).

Hi!

Inspection Points are not supported, but Inspection Lots. Please check the SAPMEINT How-To Guide here:

SFC is an actual unit of a product. It is subject to inspection, and DC Group parameters are collected for each SFC. In fact, ERP does not know anything about SFCs, because it deals with Shop Orders.

Short answer, is YES it is possible but it was not standard up to SAP ME 15.4 SP28 integrated with SAP S4 using Idoc LOIPRO via MEINT. We achieved this scenario with custom development in SAPMEINT. Sadly I cannot share any document since this was proprietary. You might want to reach out Sergiy that monitors the SAP Manufacturing Execution forum.
