Hi
I have a scenario where I need to create PS project after the attaining certain status of Item
The project which needs to be created should cater to the Standard Project Template defined in SAP PS for Eg
Item Created under "Bucket A" should create a PS project with reference to the project template defined with a coding mask X
Item Created under "Bucket B" should create a PS project with reference to the project template defined with a coding mask Y
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Sammar,
Thanks for the input, Even I was going to develop some validation as there is no standard way to achieve it,
Also let me know if there is a standard way or even a customized way of linking the Standard Project created in CJ92 with the Item Type, As projects created in CJ92 get saves in PROJS table whereas the project links with Item type saves in PROJ table which is created in CJ20N
Thanks and Regards
Simon Walter

Hi Simon,
there is no standard way to achieve it. What you can suggest is to have different Item types and build a validation if Bucket X is chosen display certain item type/s to user for selection. Or it can be user training that for Bucket X always use Item type A/B/C.( error prone but saves cost on development effort) 🙂
thereafter linkage of Item type to PS project is standard and you can choose which template should be used while the PS project is being created upon saving of the project.

Sammar
