Product Safety Report Shipping MSDS template

Hi Experts,

While configuring system for product safety, in importing report template (CG34), we came across two template files MSDS-EXAMPLE.DAT and BP_EH_EHS_COVERL.DAT which are not available in our application server file system. Can you please guide us where I can download these  standard example template files.

Dear Kapil

please check EHS custoimizing. There is some EHS activity available talking about the "templates" and how to implement them; Be aware of the fact that these "template" are only "examples" and therei use is limited in real life. In the customizing acitivty it is explained there to find these tempklates and how to include them in the SAP EHS database.

MSDS-EXAMPLE.DAT is related to an example for layout etc. for an MSDS (if I remeber correct)

BP_EH_EHS_COVERL.DAT is related to an examplefor layout of cover sheet for MSDS distrbution.

Check e.g  Best practise document: EHS Management: Product Safety (851) (or most recent version of the document). Just use e.g. google and search for term: MSDS-EXAMPLE.DAT

You will find easily current version of this conf guide.

Thanks for your reply, I have got MSDS-EXAMPLE.DAT (expl_sdb.dat) but I am unable to find BP_EH_EHS_COVERL.DAT. Can you please let me know where I can find this file.

Dear Kapil

we never used the SAP examples. Therfore no additional idea. E.g. check:  consolut - EHS_SRE_IMP_90 - Import Sample Templates

Check BEst practise SAP EHS documents as mentioned

E.g. WWI: Error in SDB example template, unit 14 is reffring to an erro r on MSDS example; may be using this you might find simething in marketplace
