Product release DG

Dear All

Required your Immediate help asap. Hope I clear with question?

> Before DG Product release @ cgcl2 real_sub, do I need to do any "SPRO" settings to be activated or maintained? Because, once I press the green button "DG product release" And I had done necessary steps. But the issue comes when I start with filling.... below some points of observations.

> What are the mandatory fields should i start filling in create product release. for example like "Packing code", etc.

> When I start filling from specification management (DGE5) It gives me error's, and when I check the logs in DGP7. Below is the error i get repeated

"error message" Not all phrases could be created for the specification SD-DG-UN1866... Please help me in process.

> Once I enter t-code dgp2: I see check box X for Trans.Not.Permitted" And there is no master data for few fields... What should I do? How ever same steps I do it EHP-5 Every thing is perfectly fine.

> How do I know my basis teams had done all the required patchs for product release?

Dear Nick

EnhPack 5 and 6 does have some difference. IN both packages you can activate "Business Functions" which have effect on "DG" process and "Customizing of DG "Process.

Activation of Business function: LOG_EHS_DG_CI_3 can and will have effects on DG process customizing etc. Refer to to: http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_06/helpdata/en/cf/c88832194542a59e0ec6f1ee8248f8/content.htm

Activation of Business  Function: PS_EHS_CI_1 can and will have effects on DG process customizing etc. Refer to:

As you have only a problem with one UN number you need to compare the different bet ween this LS_UNS_SUB and erelated DG_CL_SUB to a different one

HI Nick,

In SPRO you have to consider the below settings, related to your error.

EHS > Dangerous Goods Management > Master Data > Activate phrasing.

EHS > Dangerous Goods Management > Master Data > Generate standard Phrase sets

EHS > Basic Data and Tools > Specification Management > Specification Database Structure > Settings for Value Assignment > Adopt Standard specification database structure.

I hope the above settings not required to touch in frequent.

Can be done initially, when you are running with new environment.

For your error - A possible error could be that an identifier for the dangerous goods description is not specified on the UN listed substance.

check for the solution, as i explained in the other discussion you raised.

Yes as above mentioned I had done those process.., So the link which you had sent, Is this Basis activity? Correct me if I am wrong.

How Do I know, That DG installation for EHP6 all the config done by basis team are correct? Just to cross check? Because in EHP5 I don't have any issues?

Yes,

the link i mentioned is the basis job to ensure the ALE setup.
