Product Compliance - Product Categorization

Hello,

when creating the Chemical Compliance Info Object in the FIORI App "Manage Basic Compliance Data" the "Product Categorization" is a mandatory field, but I have no options in the dropdown menu.

- Where can I configurate the "Product Categorization" dropdown?

- For better understanding: Why is this a mandatory field?

the report you are relating to has a special purpose. It is not related to your question. (but i will read the SAP note.. may be i am wrong here)

Regarding your two topics:

- Where can I configurate the "Product Categorization" dropdown?

1.) READ CAREFULLY THE ONLINE HELP (which is available for Release 2022 and try to understand the new concepts used in this software. 2.) a mandatory field is normally a "driver" of a subsequent business process.

E.G. in EHS classic: the "Specification type" is mandatory... therefore the meaning of a "REAL_SUB" is different in comparison to "PURE_SUB" / "LIST_SUB" etc.

The same is true for the "Product Categroization"

3.) normally: any "mandatory field" should have some equivalent in the customizing. So please check your system
