Hello all,

at the client im facing the following scenario:

Requirement: It seems that there is one specific machine that can only be started with a minimum quantity.

In this case we want to rework parts. But sometimes the minimum quantity is not reached, therefore we need to use another material that we also need to rework and take this remaining parts from different orders and material codes and create a single order to execute it in this specific machine.

So, my question is, from the system point of view, how is it possible to rework different materials at the same time only because we need to fulfill the minimum quantity of the machine?

appreciate your feedback, thank you!

Why is there a minimum quantity for the machine? Is this a physical limitation or business imposed restriction?

Hello agentry_src
It is a business imposed restriction, as for financial purpose the machine cannot run without this minimum quantity

Hello

In the DIMP industry solution there is a feature called Order Combination, which allows you to combine operations of multiple orders. If you are using ECC, you need to activate the DIMP switch to use it, but this feature is also active by default in S/4HANA.

See this blog for details:
