Problem with Formula Views in Recipe Management

Hello Gurus,

I am trying to create a Recipe, by entering 2 stages/2stage formulas with Input/Outputs. I am defining a Streaming Output for stage 1 and same Streaming Output as Input for next stage 2. I add raw ingredients and quantities in both stages. But somehow when I go to Quantities tabs/screen it's not producing any output quantity, only shows Input Quantity, also Aggregation tab, Ingredients tab are all blank and also when I go to Recipe Dependent Formula and click Synchronize all the tabs are blank. Can anyone kindly inform me as to what can be the reason. Where all am I missing configurations.

Hello Ronald,

So for all the Tabs in Formula to work properly, do I have to install EHS Easy Expert piece. If yes, How do I install the piece and from where can I get it from. What related configs do I have to do.

Also Ronald, I am having problem generating BOM from Formula, and also problem converting General Recipe to Master Recipe, seems like nothing is working.

Dear Sachin,

You find more information about the EH&S Expert in the SAP note 568302. The Tool is part of the SAP forntend components.

For the transformation of General recipe or Site recipe to the Master recipe, please use/call the transaction MRTRS_START.

Hello

Installation of EHS Expert .... requires separate software which is available on purchase. As far as installation is concerned, it is user exit. you need to define user exist and user exit value. Create rule set and also create registry entry under you local system.

1) Run the installation set up

2) Create RFC connection

3) Enter information under SAPRFC.INI file

4) Run SVCADMIN for creating registry

5) Enter information under experadmin regarding the file path, rule path, executable location etc.

6) Create a new user exit under environmental parameter and assign it SDDECA value

7) Run the reciepe with edit mode and run the rule

Kindly help me with the following questions:

1. In calculating the volume of the Raw Material in the Formula, density value in the property tree of substance is used. I was wondering a substance can have different densities at different temperatures, how does the formula know which density value of the substance it should use.

2. The Value assignment table seems to be completely blank in fresh ECC system. Shouldn't it get loaded automatically with Standard SAP Value assignments. If I have add them one by one, I am talking about making hundreads of entries in the Table.

3. Can you kindly throw some light as to how Packaging is configured, and how to make sure it works for cost calculation within the formula.

Hi Sachin,

1. The system uses only the first instance of the value asssignment type (functional constraint). The requirement can be supported only about an extension in the source code.

2. I think, you find more information into the IMG activity documentation in the EH&S IMG (activity Specify Value Assignment Types). Please, use the frist actvity 'Create Entries for the Value Assignments' to create entries for an specification type (report RC1TCG11_02).

3. Please check, whether you want to work with packaging and/or formual items with the component type packaging. You find important information in the SAP nores 953215, 9517131 and 986970.

Important is, that you define the conversion factors for the materials or substances.

Dear Sachin,

first, please check the messages into the appliction log or into the calcaulation log.

I think, there you find further information.

If the BADI for the calculation is active, please check the connection to the calculation module (EH&S Expert or ABAP function module).

For the EH&S-Expert: call the transaction SM59 with the TCP/IP connection and test the connection;

the function module is available with EHP3 (software component EA-APPL603). For the function module set the value X for the IMG Environment parameter FRML_EXPL_USE_ABAP.

Additionally you can still check whether the component type is relevat for calculation in the IMG.
