It probably looks like an issue with the query itself. I suggest you verify the query by executing it directly in the source data system e.g in SAP using SQ01 and see if you get the same results.
If yes, then it is a query join issue.

Perhaps you have a join issue with your SQL statement and are getting a Cartesian product of the SQL results. If you share the datamodel and the SQL you are using maybe I can help you debug your SQL.
