Hi Vijaya,
In xMII, to stroe the metrics and alerts information it needs a database. First you need to create a database named Active Portal and for that database you can get the Tables and fields info from C:/Lighthammer/Illuminator/Active Portal folder. There you can find the SQL script for the tables generation for ORACLE and MSSQL databases. Copy and RUN the script in the query analyzer, then your database is ready. After that you have to make connection between the xMII server and Active Portal database. For that you need to go and chnage the database details for the Active portal connector.
Thanks,
Rajesh.

Hi Friends,
When I am using Metric/Alert Services-- > Categories, I am getting an error saying:
Unable to add Category A SQL Error has occured on query, OR-00942: table or view does not exist
AS given in the help, Ive created ActivePortal & QualityPortal
<InstallationDrive>:\Illuminator\ActivePortal\ directory\CreateActivePortalTables_ORACLE.sql.
<InstallationDrive>:\Illuminator\QualityPortal\CreateQualityPortalTables_ORACLE.sql
Still I am getting an Error; please tell me where the problem is.
Thanks & Regards
Vijaya
Hi Rekha,
You need to have SQL server installed on your xMII machine. The active portal feature is not going to work when SQL server is not there on your xMII server.
Thanx & Regards

You'll need to enable the "ActivePortal" Data Server to use Active Portal (Metric/Alert Services). Refer to this in the help docs:
http://<<severname>>/LighthammerCMS/Help/Advanced_Topics/optional_application_configuration

Try this:
And if that doesn't work, open the help docs and Navigate to:
Advanced Topics --> Initialization of Additional Applications --> ActivePortal Configuration for SQLServer.
