Printing and PDF Preview -> ADS Server needed?

I have a technical question about the technical background of printing in cPro 4.5:

If I use PDF Print Forms, how is the generation of the PDF working. Does this happen locally on my server, and do I need special components on my server, or do i need to connect to an external server that generates the PDF for me (e.g. an Adobe Document Server) ?

 bold cProjects - Printing Pre-Requisites - from Configuration Cotent Document for cProjects 4.5 bold
cProjects uses SAP PDF-Based Forms by Adobe and SAP Interactive Forms.
An installation of the Adobe Document Services (ADS) is required for printing. For more
information about setting up ADS, see the Adobe Document Services u2013 Configuration Guide
