PPM Task number range

Hello,

We have a requirement to automatically generate the PPM task number based on the project number and the level of the task in the hierarchy.

I can not find any suitable BADI, user exit or enhancement spot to do that. Could you please advice.

Hi,

The ID is fetched from the number range DPR_EXTID and is determined in class CL_DPR_NUMBERING_SERVICES, method GET_NEXT_NUMBER for each object type. (FM: NUMBER_GET_NEXT) Maybe class CL_CGPL_TASK with method SET_EXTERNAL_ID can also be helpful in your case.
