PPM Resource Search - Hide Column Location

Dear All,

I have activated the integration of HR to create automatically BPs (not the ALE interface). The problem is that I can't define which infotypes to be transferred. So I need some help in order to hide the personal data transferred or not to transfer them at all (best solution).

I have tried to create a view in the Resource search results, without the column location, but I can't find a way to make this view global for all users (I have also search the floorplan manager).

Thank you in advance for your support.

Regards

John

Hello John,

When you create/save a view of the resource Search Results in the Project Management frontend, this is saved as a user personalization of WebDynpro component SALV_WD_TABLE. If on the other hand you want a view to apply to all users, then you need to carry out an administrator personalization instead (i.e. customize the WebDynpro). SAP Note 1568504 explains how to carry out an administrator personalization in Project Management (by using a URL with &sap-config-mode=X).

If you instead want to influence how the location is handled during the creation or update of business partners from HR, you may find that the following SCH thread contains some relevant information (the thread itself concerns another scenario, but it mentions which BAdI implementation takes care of updating the location on the PPM system):

Hello Francesco,

Thank you very much for your answer.

Unfotunately, I cannot add &sap-config-mode=X at the end of the URL :

https://*****************.private/sap/bc/nwbc/?sap-nwbc-node=app_window_body

As for the second solution, I am using the customizing OO_CENTRAL_PERSON and not an ALE, where the badi you mention is not used.

Hello John,

In order to reach the frontend in configuration mode you need to build the URL in a certain way, as per the instructions in note 1568504. It is not sufficient to add this suffix to the normal NWBC URL.
