PPM Project Version Number Range - The editing mask for version number is missing

Hello Everyone,

Could someone tell me where do we configure the number ranges for the PPM Project versions?.

I get the following error when I am trying to create the project versions.

The Editing Mask for Version Number is missing (Table CGPL_VRSN_DEF)

I already have the configuration maintained in the SPRO. I think the version numbers are not matching with the number range of the version header and I am not sure where to find the number range, the table might be empty. I found the following thread, a user mentioned about the version number ranges which should be matching with the SPRO version number configuration.

Hello Mohan,

I have never seen this error message myself, but I could find SAP Note 1761581 which implemented the error message (to avoid a dump when the customizing is missing).

According to the long text of this error message mentioned in the note, these are the steps that you need to carry out the maintain the missing mask:

Create the missing editing mask in Customizing (transaction SPRO: SAP Portfolio and Project Management > Project Management > Structure > Define Permitted Version Numbers).
