As a part of PPM-MSP integration (Export), in standard; the role name and Resource (Employee) id from PPM is mapped to resource name and code respectively in MSP.
Do anybody have idea if Employee name is also mapped and visible somewhere in MSP e.g. John, Alex etc.? Out client have raised a logical question that a Project manager cannot remember all the resources' employee code so Employee name must be appeared somewhere if not in Resource name field.
I checked in Resource sheet in MSP. Only resource name (Role name) and code along with other PPM data are exported and visible but not real resource (Employee) name.
I know that we can use BADI DPR_MSP_CUST_FIELDS for custom mapping but as per note 1326709, any modifications or additions in Mapping Table might lead to inconsistencies and hence the customer is strongly recommended not to modify the mapping information related to project export.
Do anybody have experience of custom mapping despite SAP above disclaimer?
In case, I want to map Employee name to Text2 or Text5 custom fields in MSP; do we need to take care anything else apart from just straight forward mapping??
